- Must be a romantic-comedy genre.
- Must have fully subbed.
- Must have NO idols.
So, that'll explain why my recommendation is a bit limited. Anyway, lets get started!
_____________________________________________________________________________
My Girl (2005)
I started to watch this drama around 2010 ( I could be wrong though, can't really remember). But, for a beginner, I recommend you guys to watch this drama, but you have to bear with the old setting - since it was filmed in 2005. It is a very fun drama!
Princess Hours/Goong (2006)
This drama is quite addicting to be honest. I personally do not like the main lead voice. He sounds like a duck to me. Maybe it's just me. Sorry to the fans out there. This is the first time I watch a kind-of historical drama. I know there are lots of fan of this drama, but, to me it is just like a cup of warm tea.
Coffee Prince (2007)
Okay, here is the real deal! I must guarantee you guys that this drama is Daebak! The storyline plus with the superb chemistry of the casts are the reasons why I keep replaying the drama for the zillionth of time! No need to tell you more spoilers, experience it yourself.
You're Beautiful (2009)
Honestly, I do not expect much about this drama. But, after seeing few episodes, I kinda like Park Shin Hye's acting. She is so squishy! Overall, the storyline is quite predictable, but of course, you will watch it for the sake of Jang Geun Suk. And not to forget, Yonghwa & Lee Hong Ki. I think this drama is for fans out there.
Boys Over Flowers (2009)
This series takes korean drama to another level. I think it's this drama that makes korean drama known worldwide - well at least most of Asian countries. I think, if you ask most of your friends who enjoy korean drama, they must have, at least, watch this drama once! This drama potrays the riches to a whole different level. So, why not give yourself a chance to watch this drama?
Mischievous Kiss/Playful Kiss (2010)
*cough* *cough* This is, I think, another drama for fans out there. Of course, after Boys Over Flowers, I like his warm yet mysterious Ji Hoo sunbae. Seeing him in another screen, I wonder how far can he experiment his character.
My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho/My Girlfriend Is A Nine-Tailed Fox (2010)
Unlike other people, I do not really like Lee Seung Gi. Do not misunderstand me, I like him in Strong Heart (variety show), and I know he is very kind hearted person. Well, anyway, that time, because I had my holidays and nothing to do, so I decided to give this drama a try. Therefore....I died....I like this drama a lot and fell hard for him. Luckily, I am fully recovered! haha so why not you guys try to watch this drama?
Personal Preference/Personal Taste (2010)
I did not watch this drama until last year, I think. The female lead is a bit old for her character. Then again, since my friends talk about it a lot, so ended up spending my precious 20 hours watching this drama. It was quite fun. The female lead managed to brush off his real age into her awesome acting. And of course, Lee Min Ho is the best!
Secret Garden (2010)
Alright so much talk about this drama. Again, unlike many people, I do not find this drama interesting though. My personal preference though. Anyway, the fact is this drama was a big hit. Lots of parody were made about this drama. So, do not let my opinion justify your choice!
Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010)
I am watching this drama because of Song Joong Ki and Yoochun. The plot of this drama is addicting and I think I like Yoochun as an actor.
Heartstrings/You've Fallen For Me (2011)
I watch this because of both the male and female lead. The plot of the drama is very light. Overall it is quite a relaxing drama.
My Princess (2011)
This drama is the right for you if you like a light plot. I, however, do not really like how the female lead character. Too childish for me. Overall, fun drama to watch.
The Greatest Love (2011)
I realised that my opinion is getting typical. But, hey, not for this drama! This drama introduces me to awesome Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Seung Won. I really really love this drama. Even though the plot is light but it's not boring at all. The chemistry between all casts make this drama even more lively. This drama is a must watch! Gosh I miss this drama. You gotta love Dokko Jin.
Dream High (2011)
This is the first drama I watched that has Kim So Hyun in it. I am not really fan of idols in this drama. I like this drama a lot. At first, I was confused as to who is the main lead for this drama. It took me until few episodes before final episode to figure it out. If you like kind of musical drama, this is the drama!
Rooftop Prince (2012)
Yeay, another Yoochun drama! I do enjoy my time watching this drama. Actually I like the king's servant (three chipmunks) more than the relationship between the main leads. Hep! That does not mean the main leads are boring.
The Moon That Embraces The Sun (2012)
I watch this drama cause I have Kim So Hyun sickness. Haha. Perhaps this drama is an exception. It's not a romantic comedy drama I warn you. I think the way this drama embraces their traditional culture into this fictional love story is amazing. Despite of the traditional language heavily used plus with quite heavy plot, the actors managed to pull off this drama making each scene interesting. I think that is why this drama got so popular.
A Gentleman's Dignity (2012)
Ha! You must be contemplating whether or not to watch this drama because of the poster right? Yeah, I was too...I mean, look, the casts seem quite old. But hey! The older, the better. I really like the way the producer starts every episode with short clips. This drama is quite matured, and that is why I like it more. I can't stand school-oriented drama anymore - I am not getting younger! Anyway, do not be taken aback by their age, it IS a really good drama.
I Need Romance 2012 (2012)
This drama is close to real life events. I think that is why I give it a go. Although there is few holes in the plot but it does not really have an effect to the storyline overall.
Full House Take 2 (2012)
I was fooled! Haha. No, I did expect it though. I thought this drama is the continuation of the so called Full House (Rain as lead). The plot is so-so. However, the thing I dislike the most is the hair for both leads, especially female lead! Awwwww, big NO NO. She is cute, but that hair just do not do the justice. I cry a river...
The Master's Sun (2013)
Gongvely!!! Awww, I tell you, this is a must watch! Although it is quite scary at first, then after few episodes, you'll immuned to it. Both main leads are the A-list actor/actress. How come every actor who got paired up with Gongvely always had a good chemistry? She must be really nice in person. This drama = NO RAGRETS!
The Heirs (2013)
This drama reminds me of Boys Over Flower. But more overrated. I sternly say my opinion here, I don't like this drama. I will rant here. Why the female lead always cry, almost every minute of her scenes. And I used to like Lee Min Ho. How come his acting here is so...stiff? Maybe that is not the right word but yeah, I could not feel his acting. One thing I get from this drama is how cool/handsome/charismatic is Kim Woo Bin. But hey, I am in the minorities. This drama won so many awards and got hyped so much, so give it a go! Maybe you will like it.
You Who Came From The Stars (2013)
YASSS!!! My love Kim So Hyun! I like this fictional drama. Though I watch this drama because of him, I fell in love with Jun Ji Hyun. I like her craziness! This drama is very popular and yeah they deserve it. I re-watched this drama for few times, I realised that Kim So Hyun do not really have much script. Most of his acting is through his cute/handsome/awesome face. Haha. I look forward to more of his work!
Emergency Couple (2014)
It's Song Ji Hyo! This is the second time I watch her after Frozen Flower. Good to know that he can carry rom-com role as well. Even though there are some awkward scene and underdeveloped plot at times, it is however, a fun drama.
Cunning Single Lady (2014)
Another divorcee couple then reunited again because they were meant to each other in the first place. This drama seems relatable in real life. The female lead is a tiny bit childish, which I do not find it as a fit character in this drama. And I am embarrassed by the fact that she always seems so clingy to the lead actor, although I do feel that the writer actually want to show that she is trying to fulfilling something on her own. It is not a perfect drama, but it will make your heart warm.
Witch's Romance (2014)
At first I was a bit sceptical because of the age gap! Huuugeee... Well after first episode I am hooked! I fell for Park Seo Jun though. He is so hawt! Prepare yourself for some 19+ scene. This is a good and relaxing drama. It will totally feeds your crave for K-drama.
You're All Surrounded (2014)
Tadaa!!! You have Cha Seung Won, Lee Seung Gi and Go Ara in one screen. I like the fact that this drama do not really focus on love story and they have like short cases for every episode. But when they focused so much to the main mystery, I think the writer failed to make it interesting, how do I say...it became less mysterious cause they exposed too much...what do you think?
It's Okay, That's Love (2014)
Gaahhh!!! OMG I don't know how do I put this drama into words. Absolutely love it to the bits. This is my first time watching psychiatric drama. To some people this might be a little bit heavy because the background itself is a medical drama. But wait, you do not need to worry about that. We have Gongvely here and Jo In Sung. I gotta give Jo In Sung a standing ovation because he do understand his character and portrays it very well. Not to mention, we have Lee Kwangsoo! Another reason for me to watch this drama. Haha. I also want to praise the OSTs they used in this drama. It's like a modern touch to this drama. Therefore, another must must must watch!
Kill Me Heal Me (2015)
Heal me! The title itself is genius. This is another psychiatric drama. After watching It's Okay That's Love, I don't think there will be any other drama as good as that. Clearly, I am wrong. This drama amazes me and it shows how Ji Sung deserves all the Grand Awards. How can he picture all 7 characters differently? How is that possible? And the fact that all characters are lovable, makes me fell for him hard! Awww too bad he's married. One more thing I love the main OST called Auditory Hallucination. Makes me cwry...This is a really really must watch!
